This Kindergarten daily lesson log is editable and ready made in accordance to DO 70, s. 2012 – Guidelines on the Preparation of Daily Lessons.

Before, Kindergarten was considered to be just child’s play and not truly significant to the learning process. However, as Republic Act 10157, also known as “The Kindergarten Educational Law” had been approved; it was made mandatory and compulsory entry stage to basic education.

According to Section 2 of this Act, all five-year old children shall be given equal opportunities for Kindergarten Education to effectively promote their physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development. DepEd believes that this period is a transition from informal to formal literacy (Grades 1-12) because age five is within the critical years where positive experiences must be nurtured.

Furthermore, play-based activities would lead children to become rising literates and help them acquire the competencies to develop holistically. During these activities, they are able to understand the world by exploring the environment and encouraging them to create and discover.

Keep in mind that this critical period determines much of how the children would overall view academic situations, thus it is important to strictly follow a curriculum that would nurture the student in the most positive way possible.
